BUTTERMILK PIE  (Jean Bernard’s)

½ cup butter
1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup butter milk
4tbsp flour
1 tsp lemon flavoring (not lemon juice)

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat well.  Add buttermilk, flour, and flavoring.  Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake 40 to 45 minutes or until firm.
