Garlic Broccoli

This makes broccoli taste like the kind you get from Chinese restaurants.

1½ cups fresh broccoli Florets
1½ tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. canola or vegetable oil
1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

1 Tbs. soy sauce
2 garlic cloves
3/4 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. lemon juice

Place 1 inch water in a saucepan, add broccoli. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5-8 minutes or until crisp-tender. (I steam my broccoli)

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat the oils and red pepper flakes over medium heat for 2 minutes or until hot. Stir in soy sauce, garlic, sugar and lemon juice. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.

Drain broccoli and transfer to serving bowl. Pour garlic sauce over, toss to coat. Serve warm or chilled.
