Mom, but Maa's recipe, I think. Mom stopped serving this at Thanksgiving when the name got changed to ass pick by Paula, Daniel, Matt and Sally.

1 3/4 cup tomato juice
1/2 tsp fresh pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp lemon juice
1 TBL grated onion
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 TBL chopped green onion
2 TBL finely chopped parsley

Heat juice, pepper and bay leaf over medium heat. Remove from heat and take out bay leaf. Add paprika, lemon juice and onion.

Mix gelatin and cold water. Add to the hot tomato juice mixture. Stir until
dissolved. Cool Add chopped veggies. Pour into mold. Refrigerate.
