Cabbage Salad

1 large head cabbage sliced |
Pour 1 cup sugar over top of layered mixture.
Bring to boil:
1 cup vinegar ¾ cup oil 1 tsp. celery seed |
1 tsp. dried mustard 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. salt |
Pour mixture over cabbage. Seal container and allow to sit at least 4 hours before serving. Keeps for several weeks. Originally called for 2 cups sugar, but fine with 1.
