Mom's Egg Nog

She doesn't make this anymore because people have become uncomfortable eating raw eggs.

Beat until light 6 eggs. Gradually beat in 3/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup vanilla. Add a pinch of salt. Stir in 4 1/2 cups evaporated milk and 1 1/2 cups of water. Mix well and store in fridge for 24 hours. Grate nutmeg on top when serving.
