SNICKERDOODLES
Mom

2 ¾  cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

1 cup Crisco
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs

Sift together the 1st 4 ingredients.  Cream shortening with sugar and eggs until very light and fluffy.  Blend in flour mixture until batter is dough -like.  If necessary, chill until easy to handle.  Form               dough into walnut size balls, roll in cinnamon sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet, and bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
