Sauté chopped pecans in butter until toasted,  add ¼ cup brown sugar, spread over bottom of buttered tube pan.

2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 cups cake flour (2 cups – 2 tbsp if using regular flour)

2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt

Cream butter and sugar.  Beat in eggs one at a time.  Add flour and salt, then vanilla and lemon juice.  Pour into prepared pan.  Bake at 325 for 1 hour.
