ADDIE’S PECAN PIE

1 to 1½ cups pecans
¾ stick of butter
1 lb dark brown sugar
3 eggs
salt

Just barely mix – the butter will still be in small lumps.  Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at least 1 hour at 325.  The pie should be very dark brown and cracking on top.
